We undertake fabrication of Inland Aquaculture Cages custom made as per your designs and size requirements. We have experience of fabricating cages not only for the private progressive
farmers but also for State Fisheries Departments and various Research Institutes under the I.C.A.R umbrella.
Material: The Conventional Aquaculture Cages adopt a rugged design and are fabricated using MS or GI Pipes. The Walking Platform is made of Marine Ply or PVC Pallets fixed on MS or GI pipe to provide rigidity and support. The Platform and the Frame is painted with Epoxy Anti Corrosive water resistant Paint to prevent rusting and corrosion and thereby enhancing its life. These walking platforms are of 1m width to provide SAFE walking area and to enable easy movement of materials such as Fish Feed Bags etc across the Cage.
Hand Rails: The Cage Frame is fitted with MS Hand Rails lined with PP Ropes to enhance the safety of the User and it also serves as an additional support while walking.
Floats: The Cage is kept floating over the water using PVC Floats of suitable size and in adequate quantity depending on its size and weight. Our cages have enough buoyancy to enable 6 to 8 workers work on Cage at any time! Alternatively EPS Floats can also be used depending on the Site and size. Buoyancy ratio of minimum 2 to 3 is maintained to avoid sinking of the Cages even when fully loaded.
